Our Architectural Design Services

Whatever your needs, our services start with an initial consultation to understand what it is that you would like to achieve with the budget you have available. We can then continue to support you right through until the day that your new home is complete.

We provide all the architectural and building engineering design services and support that you need for your new home or an extension to your existing. Our architectural design related services include: initial consultation, full measured surveys, options drawings, detailed drawings and specifications, submitting Planning Applications and Building Regulations, supporting with the appointment of a Contractor and design related questions during the build process.

New Homes

Some Architects have a “studio-style” that they like apply to all of their projects, at John Edgell Ltd we prefer to get to know our Clients and to design a new home to match each Clients individual aspirations, personality and importantly budget.

We design new homes in a whole range of styles – from the very traditional right through to ultra-modern, all using carefully selected products and materials that will compliment the design of the new house perfectly.

Extensions

If you need more space in your current home and do not wish to move house, one of the best things that you can do is to extend.

If you have space at the side or rear of your house, we can help create the additional space to make your house even more of a home. Single storey, two-storey, side, rear or both side and rear all are options that we can help you to consider in order to maximise the use of your existing property.

Loft Extensions

One of the most cost-effective ways of adding additional space to your existing home is to go up.

We have worked with Clients to create loft spaces of all shapes and sizes for all types of uses. Bedrooms, bathrooms, home offices, storage rooms, games rooms, wardrobes and more – we have designed spaces small and large to maximise the use of the existing footprint of Clients homes.

Garage Conversions

If you no longer need your garage for parking a car or storage then a quick way to add a small amount of ground floor space to your home is to convert the garage. This space can be ideal for: a play room, study/home office, TV room or an additional bedroom.

Porches

Perhaps the simplest way of improving the look of the front of your home as well as adding useful space, can be the addition of a porch.

We have worked with Clients to design porches of all shapes and sizes, in keeping with the existing building or in complete contrast. All providing that much needed additional entrance space, and sometimes extra storage or an extra facility such as a Ground Floor W.C.
